The method

  1. In a blender, combine the tomatoes, 1/4 white onion, 2 garlic cloves, ground cumin, salt, and water. Blend until smooth.

  2. In a large skillet, heat some oil over medium heat. Add the blended sauce and cook for a few minutes.

  3. Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned.

  4. Meanwhile, peel and dice the small potatoes, then add them to the skillet.

  5. Add the minced garlic, 1/4 white onion, and roasted poblano peppers to the skillet.

  6. Season with pepper and additional salt to taste, and cook until the potatoes are tender.

  7. Serve hot and enjoy!
