Chop one onion and roughly chop the broccoli into smaller pieces.
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chopped onion and ground beef, spreading it out evenly in the pan.
Season with salt, pepper, mustard powder, onion powder, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and smoked paprika. Once the ground beef is browned, remove any extra grease if needed.
Add the minced garlic and Worcestershire sauce.
Add the rice, broccoli, and beef broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium-low and cover with a lid.
Let cook covered for about 15-20 minutes or until the rice is cooked.
Add about a cup of shredded Colby Jack cheese and stir.
Top with a little more cheese and cover with the lid to let the cheese melt, or pop it in the oven under the broiler for a few minutes.
